Hemp Flower You Can See, Smell and Check Before You Buy
Flower Is Bought With Your Eyes First
Most people who buy flower already know what they like. They want to see the buds, check that the trim is clean, look at the color and get a sense of how fresh the batch is. That is hard to do through a photo on a phone, which is why our flower lives in clear glass jars on the counter at both Kush Kingdom shops.
Every strain on our shelf is hemp flower, grown and processed under the federal definition of hemp, which caps Delta 9 THC at 0.3% on a dry weight basis. Much of what we carry is high in THCA, the compound that hemp flower is known for. We keep the lab report for every batch, and you are welcome to read it at the counter before you decide.
We sell flower by the gram so you can try a new strain without committing to a large bag. If you already have a favorite, ask whether we have it in a larger amount. Stock rotates as batches sell through, and the staff on shift will tell you what came in most recently and what is running low.

How to Pick a Strain at the Counter
You do not need to know any strain names to shop well. Tell us these four things and we can narrow the jars down to two or three.
What You Liked Before
A strain you enjoyed, or even one you did not, is the fastest way for us to point you in the right direction. Taste, smell and how it felt are all useful.
Time of Day
Some customers want something for the evening and others want something lighter. Saying when you plan to use it changes which jars we pull.
Flavor and Smell
Citrus, gas, earthy, sweet or floral. Aroma comes from the terpenes in each batch, and we will open the jar so you can smell it yourself.
Budget
We carry a range on purpose. Name a number and we will show you the best flower at that price instead of steering you up.
Pre-Rolls for When You Do Not Want to Roll
Pre-rolls are the simplest way to try a strain. Each one is ground hemp flower in a paper cone, ready to light. They are a good fit if you are trying something for the first time, sharing with a friend or heading somewhere without your gear.
We stock single pre-rolls and multi-packs in a few sizes. Ask which ones are made from whole flower and which are made from a blend, because that difference shows up in how evenly they burn and how they taste. If you like a particular jar, ask whether we carry the same strain pre-rolled.
Need papers, cones or a grinder to roll your own? Those live in our glass and accessories lane, and the counter staff can grab them while you pick your flower.
- Single pre-rolls for trying a new strain
- Multi-packs for regulars and sharing
- Whole flower and blend options, labeled at the counter
- Papers, cones, tips and grinders in the accessories lane
- Lab reports available for the flower used in pre-rolls
Reading a Lab Report Without the Headache
A certificate of analysis, usually called a COA, is a test from an independent lab. It tells you what is in a batch of flower and confirms it meets the hemp limit. The first number to look for is Delta 9 THC, which must be at or under 0.3% on a dry weight basis for the product to be hemp.
Next you will usually see THCA and a figure for total potential THC. THCA itself is not the same compound as Delta 9 THC, but heat turns it into Delta 9 THC, which is why flower high in THCA smokes very differently from CBD hemp. The report should also list a batch number and a test date. Match the batch number on the report to the jar label so you know you are reading the right test.
Many reports also include terpene results and screens for pesticides, heavy metals and microbes. Not every brand tests for all of them, so if those screens matter to you, ask us which strains include them. We would rather show you the paperwork than ask you to take our word for it.

Keeping Your Flower Fresh at Home
Flower stays at its best in an airtight glass jar kept somewhere cool and dark. Heat and light dry it out and fade the smell, and a plastic bag left in a hot car on a Texas afternoon will do both in a single day. If you buy a few grams at a time, a small glass jar is the most useful thing you can own.
Grind only what you plan to use. Ground flower loses aroma much faster than whole buds. If your flower feels too dry, a small humidity pack in the jar helps it recover over a day or two. If it ever smells musty or shows any white fuzz, do not use it.
Keep everything out of reach of children and pets, in its original labeled packaging if you can. That way you always have the batch number if you want to look up the lab report later.

Flower Questions
Hemp flower that meets the federal definition of hemp, no more than 0.3% Delta 9 THC on a dry weight basis, is sold at Kush Kingdom to adults 21 and over with a valid ID. We keep the lab report for every batch.
Both are hemp. THCA flower is high in THCA, which turns into Delta 9 THC when heated, so it smokes very differently. CBD flower is high in CBD and low in THCA. The lab report shows which one you are looking at.
Yes. Ask at the counter and we will open the jar for you so you can see and smell the buds up close.
Yes. You can buy a single gram to try a strain. Ask about larger amounts if you already know what you like.
It can. Many drug tests look for THC metabolites and do not tell hemp apart from marijuana. If you are tested for work or any other reason, talk to your employer or a medical professional before using hemp flower.
