Green wall shelves of glass water pipes and accessories at Kush Kingdom

Water Pipes, Hand Pipes and Every Small Part That Keeps Them Working

Glass Is Something You Want to Hold First

Buying glass online is a gamble. Photos hide thin spots, the size is never what you pictured and shipping is risky. At Kush Kingdom the glass sits on green wall shelves and inside lit cases where you can see the thickness, check the joints and get a real sense of the size before you buy.

We carry everyday pieces and a few showpieces: water pipes, bubblers, hand pipes, rigs and one hitters, along with the accessories that make them work. Ask to see anything up close and we will take it down for you.

If you already own a piece and just need a part, bring the old one in or snap a photo of the joint. Matching a downstem or a bowl is much easier with the piece in hand.

The Main Types of Glass

A quick guide to what you will see on our shelves and what each one is for.

Water Pipes

Larger pieces that pass smoke through water for a cooler, smoother hit. Look for a solid base and a thick wall where it meets the tube.

Bubblers

A water pipe and a hand pipe in one. Small enough to hold, with a little water chamber for a smoother pull.

Hand Pipes

Simple, portable and easy to clean. Spoon pipes and chillums are the most common styles on our shelf.

Rigs

Smaller water pipes built for concentrates, used with a banger or nail and a torch. Ask us to explain the setup if you are new to them.

Accessories We Keep Stocked

Small parts are the reason most people come back to the glass wall. A cracked bowl or a lost downstem can put a good piece out of action, and they are inexpensive to replace if you know the size.

Joint sizes are usually 10mm, 14mm or 18mm, and downstems are measured by length. If you are not sure, bring the piece and we will fit the part at the counter.

We also carry the everyday basics: papers, cones, grinders, lighters, torches, storage jars and the cleaning supplies that keep glass looking new.

  • Bowls and slides in 10mm, 14mm and 18mm
  • Downstems in common lengths
  • Bangers, nails and carb caps for rigs
  • Ash catchers and screens
  • Grinders, rolling papers, cones and tips
  • Torches, lighters and butane
  • Cleaning solution, plugs and brushes

How to Pick a Piece That Lasts

Thicker glass holds up better to everyday knocks. Look at where the joint meets the body and where the base meets the tube, because that is where pieces usually crack. A wider base is more stable on a table, and a percolator adds smoothness but also adds parts to clean.

Think about where you will use it. A tall water pipe is great on a coffee table and awkward in a car. A small hand pipe or bubbler is easy to take along but needs more frequent cleaning. Tell us how you use your glass and we will point you to two or three pieces that fit.

Price follows thickness, size and how much work went into the piece. We keep a range so you can find something solid without overspending.

Keeping Glass Clean

Clean glass smokes better and tastes better. For water pipes, change the water every session and give the piece a full clean once a week if you use it daily. Isopropyl alcohol with coarse salt, shaken in the piece with the openings plugged, removes most buildup. Rinse well with warm water afterward.

For stubborn resin, a dedicated glass cleaner works faster and is easier on rubber grommets. Never pour boiling water into cold glass, because a sudden temperature change can crack it.

Ask at the counter and we will walk you through the cleaning supplies that suit your piece. Both shops carry them, and the Richland Hills shop is open until midnight every day.

Glass for Flower and Glass for Concentrates

Not every piece is built for every use. Water pipes, bubblers and hand pipes are made for flower and use a bowl that holds ground material. Rigs are made for concentrates and use a banger or nail heated with a torch, along with a carb cap to control airflow.

Some pieces can do both with an adapter, but most people find a dedicated rig gives better flavor with concentrates, because rigs are smaller and the vapor travels a shorter path. A water pipe used for flower is usually larger to cool more smoke.

If you are new to rigs, ask us to walk you through the setup and safety basics before you buy. A torch, a quartz banger and a carb cap are the three things you will need on top of the rig itself.

Keep a small, separate cleaning kit for each piece you own. Swabs, a brush and a bottle of cleaner cost little and keep flavor clean between sessions, whichever type of glass you choose.
